Better together

Strategy, design, development and production are seamlessly integrated into a single creative process, delivering work that is effective, cohesive and built to last.

Let’s be honest: we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every project we take on is built around your specific needs, goals and budget. That’s why our first meeting is all about gaining clarity. And if your direction isn’t fully defined yet, we’ll bring our strategic thinking and creative expertise to help you shape it. Either way, it’s a no-obligation conversation—and yes, coffee’s on us.

Hanging out

Hanging out

The best work happens together. That’s why clients and our team collaborate closely throughout every stage of the project. This ongoing exchange leads to stronger, more consistent and more effective solutions. Strategy, design and development constantly inform one another, with the best ideas often emerging from the dialogue between different disciplines. Our workspace is part of the process too: an environment designed to welcome projects as they evolve, where references, prototypes and work in progress become active contributors to the creative journey.

We work as one team, sharing ideas, challenges and solutions openly and continuously. This approach removes barriers between disciplines and speeds up decision-making. The conversation doesn’t follow rigid hierarchies: clients, account managers, designers and developers are all part of the same creative flow. By reducing unnecessary steps, we keep projects aligned and consistent from start to finish. For us, informality doesn’t mean a lack of structure—it means working in a way that is clearer, faster and more effective.

Simphony

Simphony

Every element of a brand contributes to its overall perception. Like the instruments of an orchestra, each touchpoint has its own role—but only when they work together can they create a truly distinctive experience. We bring identity, digital experiences, content and communication materials into harmony, designing them as parts of a single system where every element reinforces the others. A website, a logo, a campaign, a product label or a packaging detail are different expressions of the same vision: together they create a recognizable language, a brand voice that feels consistent, authentic and built to resonate over time.

After several years as part of the faculty at Istituto Europeo di Design—where my passion for visual and digital identities first began as a student—I now lead a team of professionals in developing ideas and solutions that create meaningful communication. Not much of a social media person, but definitely a people person. Helping individuals, companies and brands find the right way to tell their stories is what I do best.

“When someone says, ‘I could do that too,’ it means they can only remake it. Otherwise, they would have done it before.”
Bruno Munari

For over twenty years, I have worked at the intersection of creativity and strategy—two disciplines I continue to see as deeply connected. The strongest solutions are rarely the loudest ones. They are the ones that bring every element into the right place. I enjoy noticing what often goes unseen and giving direction to ideas that are still taking shape. Ultimately, that’s what my work is about: recognizing possibilities and transforming them into meaningful projects.

An Adobe guru in disguise, I share my knowledge with calm, patience and a good dose of persistence. Command+C and Command+V (old school), CMYK and RGB, typography, crop marks and Pantone colors, JPGs, PDFs and PPTs—these are the magic formulas I bring to life every day. It might sound like a foreign language, but whenever a digital or design challenge comes up, don’t worry: trust my creative toolkit, and I’ll be happy to find the right solution.

My passion for design began in the world of publishing. Early in my career, I became fascinated by traditional graphic design, exploring grids, page structures, typography and cover design—the foundations of a discipline built on precision and balance. Like a practitioner of Kung Fu, I approach design through the study of forms, movement and style, with the awareness and intention of translating abstract concepts into clear and meaningful visual communication.

My love for books and reading led me into the fascinating world of editorial design. After studying ancient manuscripts, incunabula and early printed editions, I became a kind of modern-day scribe. Simple, clear and balanced are some of my favorite words—and the principles that guide my approach to design.

While others were playing hide-and-seek, I was carving objects out of paper. A lover of all things print and lettering, I keep my house keys in a typographic drawer, somewhere between a Helvetica and a Bodoni. I live through quiet compositions, where everything has its own place and my dreams are aligned to the left, with 1.5 line spacing.

Roman-born and Roma supporter, class of ’92. The constant evolution of communication led me into the digital world. Passionate about WordPress, I believe that simple yet effective design is the right foundation for every website. Pixel perfect. Always.

Multilingual and always multitasking—at work and in life. I travel and read a lot to stay curious and keep up with the world around me, while never neglecting my true passion. My better half? My wife? No… the code. The nerdy kind. Headphones on, backpack ready, and always prepared to explore the World Wide Web.

I started out as an astrophysicist. First, I tried to understand the meaning of things; then I tried to give them a conceptual and artistic soul—but I wasn’t very good at it. So now, somewhere between a skydive and an FPV drone flight, with the wind in my hair—which I’ve since lost—I imagine a world made of frames: the ones I capture through my camera.

I lead our training and education programs, even though as a child I was convinced I had nothing to teach anyone. After thirty years of teaching, I’m even more convinced of one thing: every one of my students surpasses the teacher.

are you there?

Always, Ray. Shoot.

You know I'm great at helping my clients tell their stories, but when it comes to talking about myself… I'm hopeless. Would you mind writing something about how we met and what it was like working together?

A spring afternoon on Via Cimone, just around the corner from Piazza Sempione in Rome. The sun is shining—surely that’s a good omen. Hidden behind the ivy that completely covers the façade of number 91 is a small door: the entrance to Officine06. A lively voice comes through the intercom. “Who’s there?” I’m here because my business partner insisted. “They’re brilliant. Trust me.” Just three words, but I trust him. I have very little to go on. No expectations—which is probably for the best—but nothing to feed my imagination either. We’re about to place our creation, still unnamed, into the hands of these people called Officine06. They’re the ones who will name it, dress it, and introduce it to the world. And I can’t even picture them. I’m excited. We’re about to present our idea—the very reason we’re here—and yet I’m already feeling nostalgic for a beginning that’s slipping away. “Are you still standing there? Come on!” My business partner is already saying hello while I’m still hesitating at the threshold that separates me from the realization of a dream. I take a breath, step inside, catch sight of two pairs of feet—Raimondo’s (who would become simply Ray a few moments later) and my partner’s—and then a wonderfully chunky bulldog comes snuffling toward me, wrinkling his face and enormous nose as if to ask, “And who might you be?” “Well, who are you, you masterpiece!” I laugh, instantly forgetting why I came in the first place, completely distracted by the comforting grumbles of contentment from my new four-legged friend. A cuddle, a scratch behind the ears, and we’re friends. No one could have welcomed me better than Cesare, Ray’s bulldog. From that moment on, as if someone had called for a scene change, nothing would ever be quite the same. Not for a single second did I worry about entrusting them with my treasure. Quite the opposite—I shared it gladly.

Officine06 About Esterno

Ray and his team received our idea with extraordinary care, passing it from one to another as though it were a crystal sphere. They played with it, explored every possible shape it could take without ever betraying its essence. They gave it colour, perspective, personality. They challenged one another, tested different directions. Every so often another specialist would join the conversation. Consultant may sound like a grey, corporate word, but every one of them was smiling, passionate—and genuinely invested in my story. One added a ribbon. Another hemmed the edges. Someone else offered a gentle touch, a flash of inspiration. The notes I’d brought with me became little more than the departure point for a journey that quickly took flight. I found myself saying possible names out loud—names that had clearly been inside me all along, but whose doors I’d never known how to open. Those names slowly became shapes. The shapes became the first sketches of a logo. They suggested tools we’d never considered—better solutions, often simpler, sometimes even less expensive. It was a flood of creativity firmly anchored in reality: a river in full flow, guided by flexible banks and steered by a helm that was as dependable as it was brilliantly imaginative. A few hours later, the question marks I’d walked in with had been transformed, through the quiet alchemy of Officine06, into bright, colourful exclamation marks carrying me forward with excitement. Time had disappeared. Only my growling stomach reminded me that more than three hours had gone by. That afternoon, storieria.com was born. Later came the brochures, posters, bookmarks, hats, pens… even my car ended up wearing the visual identity my friends at Officine06 had created for me. A brand identity that, in truth, is so much more than just a look. The sunshine that spring afternoon really was a good omen.
